Mircha Mangiacotti

I am a Brisbane-based filmmaker, photographer and musician. I completed a MA of Screen Production at Griffith Film School in 2017, specialising in directing for documentary. Since then, I have worked on a variety of projects as a director and cinematographer, the latest being feature documentary ‘Love Opera’, which was released in cinemas nationwide in 2020. I am passionate about music festivals and I have worked as a videographer at Blues Fest, Woodford and Yonder. My photography work is focused on events, live music, and portraiture. ‘A Map of the Body’ was my first solo photography exhibition, first showcased in 2020 at Woolloongabba Art Gallery. The series was developed in 2021 and showcased at Vacant Assembly as part of the Brisbane Art Design (BAD) festival.
